Tuition & Fees

Graduate education at Chatham University involves tuition, fees, and expenses associated with lodging, food, insurance, facilities, technology, and travel. We also offer graduate assistantships, fellowships and professional campus work positions that can help make a Chatham graduate education more affordable. 

To be considered a full-time graduate student, a student must be enrolled for nine credits in the fall, spring, and summer terms. Total program costs will include both tuition and any applicable fees.

Health Insurance Requirement:
Full time students are required to have health insurance. If needed students can opt-in to the Chatham student health insurance plan offered by UPMC. The current 2024-2025 rate has not been released. Contact the Office of Student Accounts for enrollment.

*College Fee: The college fee is mandatory for all graduate students enrolled in on-campus programs and entitles each student to student publications; admission to college social events, student-sponsored concerts and lectures; and membership in student organizations. This fee does not apply to students enrolled in fully online programs. 

*Technology Fee: The technology fee is mandatory for all graduate students and entitles each student to standard university provided software (e.g., Microsoft 365), Helpdesk support, campus connectivity and infrastructure, computer labs, and other IT services. 

Chatham provides limited on-campus housing options on Shadyside Campus and on Eden Hall Campus for graduate students, dependent on availability. There are also a variety of local housing options near the Shadyside Campus that are within walking distance or a short PRT bus ride. School of Health Sciences graduate students also have access to a unique inter-generational housing partnership at Vincentian Schenley Gardens near Shadyside Campus.
